CMoS Author-Date style

The 18th edition of The Chicago Manual of Style (CMoS) includes two types of citation styles:  1. Notes and Bibliography style and 2. Author-Date style

The Author-Date style includes documentation for each of the following:

Citation Guide: Formatting examples for in-text and bibliographic citations for various types of sources.

In-text Citations Overview: Background and brief examples of narrative and parenthetical annotations for sources of information writers use in their own work.

Bibliography Page Overview: Background and brief examples of bibliographic citations for sources upon which a writer relies in their own work.

For this guide, we have included guidelines and examples for the most common types of academic sources. For more information and guidance, see The Chicago Manual of Style, 18th edition at https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide/citation-guide-2.html
